History and heritage

Exigen® Services was originally part of Exigen Group, an innovative IT 2.0 Business Solutions provider that partners with Global 2000 enterprises to achieve superior economic results through alignment of IT departments with corporate priorities and business strategies.

To fulfill the systems development work, Exigen first acquired Softwarehouse (SWH), a high-tech research and development firm located in Riga, Latvia. An established provider in the region, SWH had been operating since 1995 and served technology organizations such as IBM.

Then, in 2004, Exigen acquired DATI, the largest systems development organization in the Baltics. DATI had a strong presence delivering projects for regional enterprises, as well as Latvian government agencies. In addition, DATI brought critical project management skills, a world-class development team and German language proficiency to Exigen. This language skill set enabled Exigen to expand its presence in Western Europe.

By 2006, the rapidly growing BPU space allowed Exigen Services to spin off a separate company, which would focus on the application development fulfillment work, leaving Exigen Group to focus solely on BPU. Alec Miloslavsky was named CEO of Exigen Services.

In 2007, Exigen Services continued its aggressive acquisition strategy — purchasing StarSoft Development Labs, the leading offshore Agile application development provider. Founded in 1992, StarSoft had grown to become the preeminent eXtreme Programming (XP) and SCRUM practitioner, with more than 600 specialized developers.

In 2009, despite the global economic downturn, Exigen Services continued its growth with the acquisition of a China-based software outsourcing company, Taihoo Technology. The company, located in the southeastern city of Suzhou, brought more than 100 skilled IT professionals to Exigen Services, possessing an average of over five years of experience. Exigen Services is successfully blending its experienced IT team in Northern and Eastern Europe with the vast, well educated technical work force in China. This will provide new opportunities to bid for large-scale outsourcing projects and provide "round the clock" delivery services accelerating time-to-market for customer solutions. China, with its dynamic economy and population of 1.3 billion, is an exciting new frontier for Exigen Services, which continues to serve customers around the world.

Today, with a fiscal growth rate of 35% per year, a global roster of clients, hundreds of successful projects and a world-class team of 2000 highly skilled developers and project managers, Exigen Services has redefined outsourcing. Our next generation of outsourcing methodology combines technical expertise, process skills and execution excellence with unique business terms to create partnerships with customers by sharing business risks and rewards.

Exigen Services remains fully committed to its unwavering goal of providing superior project outcomes while finding best-in-breed solutions that deliver the highest business value with the minimum business risk.
