Exigen Services has completed the development of a new version of web analytics solution, HBX Analytics 4.0, for Visual Sciences (an American company formerly known as WebSideStory), one of the world leaders on the on-demand web analytics market.
HBX Analytics service allows one to study the behavior of the audience of a web site, monitor all visitor activity on the site (loading of page files, transitions between pages, ordering, replies in forums, participation in polls, subscription to mailing lists, etc.) and to assess the effectiveness of the changes made to the web site, optimizing the advertising campaign. E-commerce companies may use HBX Analytics to track customer’s entire path to making a purchase step by step, segment the customer pool, and make appropriate changes to improve the effectiveness of the web resource.
The new version, HBX Analytics 4.0, implements a number of changes dictated by the requirements of today's web analytics market: an improved customer reporting system, a new possibility to get a fuller assessment of advertising effectiveness depending on the positioning of ads on the page of a site. The internal administration module and the graphical interface have become friendlier to the user. Compared to the previous version, significant enhancements were made to the efficiency analysis functionality for online stores. HBX Analytics 4.0 operates under Windows and MacOS operating systems and is compatible with most popular web browsers. The system took over 45 man-years to develop. It contains over 700,000 lines of source code and has about 4000 test cases developed. The project was implemented by a decentralized international team of 50 specialists from Exigen Services (StarSoft) and Visual Sciences.
The cooperation between the two companies started in 2005 and grew into a long-term partnership, in the context of which a dedicated development center of Visual Sciences was formed on the basis of Exigen Services (StarSoft) infrastructure. Besides HBX Analytics, Exigen Services (StarSoft) participates in development and testing of a number of other products of Visual Sciences.
