Exigen Services has held a press lunch dedicated to the announcement of the results for 2007, the first year of joint operation for the multinational IT corporation formed by the merger of Exigen Services and StarSoft Development Labs.
Nikolay Puntikov, President of Exigen Services in Eastern Europe and Chairman of the Board of the RUSSOFT association, David Webb, Exigen’s Vice President of Professional Services in EMEA, and Elena Komarova, Director of Organizational Development and Personnel in Eastern Europe, have shared the results of the past year and the plans for further corporate development with St. Petersburg journalists.
As admitted by a number of journalists, the format of the press lunch held at the cozy Theater Dinner restaurant, the informal manner in which the top management of the company communicated with the journalists, and their willingness to answer all questions “pleasantly distinguished this press event from many others.”
In February 2007, a merger of the two most authoritative software development companies on the offshore programming market produced one of the largest vendors of IT development and system integration services in the Central and Eastern Europe. Today, Exigen Services is a multinational corporation headquartered in San Francisco, with 17 offices in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, USA and Great Britain, with the total workforce of over 2000 people. For the year 2007, the company posted revenue of 70 million U.S. dollars, a 40% gain over the total revenue of the two companies at the time of merger. The clientele of the company includes the Fortune 500 world’s largest corporate groups and medium businesses alike.
Speaking of the reasons for the two big companies in this sector to merge, Nikolay Puntikov emphasized, among others, the fact that the merger of two strong players characterized by similar levels of thinking, many years of experience in unique development projects, and the reputation of reliable partners, allowed the new company to arrive at a new level of projects on the territory of the European Union, accordingly enhancing the international coverage of the company.
In David Webb’s opinion, the cooperation of Western business subjects with the Russian IT company is due first and foremost to the work quality level of its programmers combined with what he calls “the mood”. Their high professionalism and familiarity with the specifics of client’s line of business even at the very first stages of project planning and preparation ensures perfect mutual understanding between the parties, guaranteeing a success of the project and subsequent satisfaction of the two parties.
According to Elena Komarova’s statements, the efforts in personnel development made by the company management provide for a well-deserved pride in being one of city’s best employers. Despite the explosive growth of production and staff experienced by the company in recent years (prompting the company to engage an investor with “smart money” and the advantages required to implement the projects), the climate within the company remains favorable and conducive to every employee’s self-realization.
